Taste of Sachse returns for second year

by | May 14, 2026 | Latest, News

A community initiative aimed at supporting local businesses and encouraging residents to shop and dine locally is returning to Sachse for a second year this spring.

The Taste of Sachse, organized by the Sachse Economic Development Corporation, started on May 4, runs through June 1 and features 19 participating businesses across the city. The monthlong promotion is designed to highlight Sachse’s growing mix of restaurants, coffee shops and specialty retailers while strengthening community engagement with local businesses.

The event coincides with National Small Business Week and builds on the success of the inaugural Taste of Sachse campaign held in 2025, which featured 15 participating businesses.

This year, organizers are introducing a digital event passport system to make participation more accessible and interactive. Residents can take part by making a purchase at any participating business during the event period and scanning that business’s unique QR code to check in. Each participating location has its own code tied to the digital passport program.

Participants who check in at four different businesses will be entered into a drawing for prizes that include gift cards, merchandise and other items donated by local businesses. Organizers also plan to offer additional giveaways throughout the event to encourage continued participation.

The first 20 people to check in at four participating businesses will receive Sachse-themed merchandise while supplies last. Participants must notify staff to claim the promotional items. In addition, the first five participants who post about the event on social media, tag Sachse Economic Development and use the hashtag #TasteofSachse26 will receive branded merchandise, including water bottles and shirts.

This year’s participating businesses include Cane Rosso, HTeaO, 30 Brunch House, Masala Twist Xpress, Yoko Sushi – Thai – Sake, DK’s Donuts, Haus of Boba, Keki Japanese Cheesecake & Drinks, The Brass Tap, Jakes Burgers, Pho Station, Nation’s Giant Hamburgers, Sayfani Coffee House, Epic Pizza, Sachse Nutrition, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Woodbridge Cafe, Burger Prime and Manny’s Tex-Mex.

City officials said the program is intended to increase awareness of local businesses while encouraging residents to explore new dining and shopping options within the community. Organizers also hope the event will continue building momentum for small business support and local economic development efforts throughout Sachse.
