The Sachse City Council approved lower speed limits Monday in The Station development as part of an ongoing traffic study examining safety and traffic patterns in the mixed-use residential and commercial district.
Assistant City Manager Lauren Rose told council members the study had been in development for an extended period and was initiated in response to concerns raised by residents. Rose and Public Works Director Corey Nesbit presented the findings.
The council approved reducing speed limits to 25 mph on several streets within The Station.
