After dropping its district opener to Wylie East, Sachse (13-16) has responded with back-to-back wins over North Garland (25-13, 25-13, 25-10) and Garland (25-15, 25-17, 20-25, 25-12).
Senior Ella Smith had a big night offensively with 17 kills. Erin Patton and Fallin Whitmore each finished with six kills. The Lady Mustangs were balanced as a whole, with 13 players recording at least one kill.
Sarah Naidoo set up the offense well, finishing the evening with a team-high 24 assists, followed by 14 from Laney George. Jacey Gibbs logged 18 digs to power Sachse’s defensive efforts in the back row, followed by 14 from Anh Tran.
