The Sachse City Council took a few minutes Monday night to highlight the value of recycling and honor a group of young residents for their creative efforts to promote it.

Mayor Jeff Bickerstaff presented each winner with a certificate, calling the students forward individually to receive their recognition. Cox Elementary Principal Krista Wilson was also present for the ceremony.
