Easter is only a few weeks away and the city is planning to host their ever-popular Easter trio of events.

The annual Easter Egg Scramble kicks off first followed by the Doggie Bone Hunt and Flashlight Egg Hunt. The event will be held March 19 at Heritage Park at 4408 Hudson Dr.

Recreation Supervisor Cynthia Wiseman said, “We are hiding 8,000 eggs and there will also be individually wrapped candies as well.”

The Easter Egg Scramble will kick off at 10 a.m. Children ages 2-10 can come and see the Easter Bunny who will hide candy and special “prize” eggs and 2 golden eggs for three age categories in each age group; 2 to 4 years of age; 5 to 7 years of age; and 8 to 10 years of age.

That evening, at 7:30 p.m., the Doggie Bone Hunt will commence. Everyone is invited to bring their canine friend out to the park for doggie treats, prizes and a picture with the Easter Bunny.
