Sachse Mayor Jeff Bickerstaff cuts the ceremonial ribbon at Heritage Park Saturday, Oct. 5.
Sunshine, pleasant temps, free food and fun stuff for the kids were part of the reopening of Sachse’s largest park last weekend.
The mayor, council members, parks board members, city staff and Sachse’s state representative Angie Chen Button, were on hand to cut the ceremonial ribbon and give props to all who helped make the Heritage Park expansion a reality.
For resident’s familiar with the older version, the new look is a dramatic change and appears well worth the wait.
The unveiling of the newly expanded Heritage Park marks the completion of a $6 million project that broke ground in March 2022.
