Donations needed for annual toy drive

by | Dec 12, 2024 | Latest

Toys will be collected through Sunday, Dec. 15 for families in need. Residents are asked to drop donations off at the police department located at 3815 Sachse Rd. in Sachse.

The Sachse Police Department is calling on the community to help spread holiday cheer to families in need again this year through its Chaplaincy Services Toy Drive.

The annual initiative aims to provide toys, clothing and food to children and families who may be facing financial challenges during the holiday season.

The department is accepting donations of new, unopened toys for boys and girls, clothing in all sizes and non-perishable food items. Contributions will be accepted through Sunday, Dec. 15, at the police department located at 3815 Sachse Rd.

Lt. Doerr of the Sachse PD said the department does not set donation goals, however, he said they will “help as many as we can and take whatever new toy donations come our way.”

For those who know of a family in need, or for inquiries about the drive, Lt. Doerr can be reached at [email protected] or by calling 469-429-9819.
