In District 9-6A, Sachse and Wylie continue to pace the field, with both teams sitting at 6-1 in district play.

Sachse had to dig deep to hold off Wylie East, earning a 7-4 road win in a tightly contested matchup.

Wylie East erased a 4-0 deficit, highlighted by a game-tying solo home run from Levi Scroggin to open the sixth inning. However, Sachse answered in the seventh, scoring three runs to regain control.

Jacob Ponce delivered the go-ahead RBI single before William Martin and Julian Moreno added insurance with RBI groundouts following a Raider error. Ponce led the Mustangs’ offense, going 3-for-4 with four RBIs and a home run.

Earlier in the week, Sachse cruised to a 12-1 win over Lakeview Centennial. Alex Moreno was dominant on the mound, striking out 12 while allowing just one hit and one run over six innings. Colt Upchurch and Noah Siddall each recorded three hits.
