City to host Red, White and Blue Blast next week

Sachse’s most popular event is just around the corner.

The Red, White and Blue Blast, which draws several thousand attendees each year, is set for Wednesday, July 3.

Although many crowd favorites will be back this year, the Parks and Recreation team has also included some new features.

“We have a few more attractions to help event goers beat the heat,” said Recreation Manager Cynthia Wiseman. “In addition to the misting station underneath the pavilion at Heritage, Parks staff will be creating an additional misting station near the park entrance. We will also have an additional water slide this year for the kids to enjoy.”
