City prepares to set budget

by | Jul 25, 2019 | Latest

Budget season is upon us, and city officials are gearing up to readjust finances.

Sachse City Council met in regular session Monday, July 15 to discuss the long-range financial plan and preliminary Capital Improvement Plan (CIP).

Finance Director Teresa Savage presented the long-range updates, informing council how well the city has kept to the current year’s budget.

As of May 31, expenditures are at $12.2. The 2018-19 budget anticipates total expenditures of $18.2 million, so Savage believes the city is right on track.
