Mr. Meserole was born in Dallas, Dec. 24, 1930, to Otis C. and Fay Dawkins Meserole, Sr. He service his country during the Kore- an Conflict, with the U.S. Marine Corp. During his working career, he was a sales supervisor with a women’s cosmetic line.

Survivors include his son, Donald Gene Roberts and his wife, Cindy, of Point; granddaughter, Jennifer Gray and her husband, Jeff; two great-grandchildren, Landree and Hudson Gray; and nu- merous loving friends

He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Otis C. Me- serole, Jr.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Wilson-Or- wosky Funeral Home in Emory.

Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Murphy Road Baptist Church in Murphy, with Pastor Mark Forrest officiating.

Ben Wright was born Oct. 22, 1985, in Dal- las, the son of Perry and Melanie Wright. He grew up in Wylie, and graduated a proud Pirate from Wylie High School in 2004. He spent his early childhood and teen years as a member of Murphy Road Baptist Church and knew Jesus Christ as his per- sonal savior. He worked as a cable installer with Prime Systems. He loved to fish, enjoyed online gaming, and being with family and friends. He was known for his wonderful sense of humor and the ability to make others laugh.

He is survived by his parents, Perry and Melanie Wright; sister, Jessica (Wright) Saunders: brother-in-law, Jay Saunders; nephews, Blake Martineau and Leland Saunders; niece, Jaycee Saunders; grandparents, Shirley Arms; David and Charlotte Binford; Jessie and Mickey Webb; Kenneth and Beth Fox; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by grandparents, Clara Webb; Roy and Thelma Britt; Bertha Wright; H.C. “Booty” Wright; and Bennion and Blynn Perry.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Murphy Road Baptist Church in Murphy.

Join the Friends of the Sachse Public Library from 6 to 8 p.m. May 19 for Author Con. This event is a celebration of local authors ranging from children’s picture books to young adult, inspirational nonfiction and thriller fiction novels. Books will be available for purchase, cash or check only. Refreshments will be served and there will be an opportunity to win some of the author’s books in a drawing. As you visit, you will have a chance to talk with the authors, socialize with friends, and discover the services the Sachse Public Library has to offer. Check the library website for details about the attending authors.

 

The Summer Story Time Club 2015 theme is Every Hero has a Story. In honor of our local heroes, we will be hosting special story times in the month of May. The animal shelter will be featured May 21. Members of the fire and police department were previously recognized.

Summer Reading Club kickoff event will be from 10 to noon June 6 in the city amphitheater.

There will be face painting, a bounce house, snow cones, music, miniature horses, a fire truck and the Sachse Radio Club. Music by Rockin’ with Rhett! Sign up for the reading program and pick out your first book.
