GARLAND — Sachse’s Mustangs are like a machine.

When they are on all gears, they perform like a fine piece of equipment. However, there are moments when kinks and misfires appear.

All of those traits were never more evident than last Thursday, when Sachse held off the feisty Bishop Lynch Friars 50-34 at Williams Stadium. The victory, which came in Sachse’s final non-district game of 2015, improved the Mustangs’ record to 3-0, with the 11-6A opener scheduled for 7 p.m. tonight against Tyler Lee at Williams.

“I know you are supposed to enjoy (a victory) for a little while, but I’m already geared in on those guys (Lee),” said Sachse head coach Mark Behrens.
