Sachse upends Wylie in season opener

GARLAND — Sachse showed a lot of promise Friday night in defeating Wylie 37-24 during the season opener for both schools.

However, the 13-point victory also demonstrated that quite a number of questions remain regarding the 2015 Mustangs. Up next for Sachse will be Plano West, which opened the season last week by burning Mesquite 33-14.

“We didn’t seem to get into a rhythm as much as I wanted to offensively,” Behrens said. “We just made some mistakes, and we’ll get those things fixed. Our kicking game has some holes, and we’ve got to get those fixed.”
