Sachse rebounded nicely from its loss to Rockwall with a 39-0 domination Friday of Naaman Forest.
However, that win, which came on a rain-soaked evening at Williams Stadium, doesn’t mean the Mustangs (3-2 in 11-6A) are out of the woods yet regarding a playoff berth.
There are still two games left, first 7:30 p.m. this Friday at Homer B. Johnson against Lakeview Centennial, and then Friday, Nov. 6 versus Rowlett. Winning either contest, or both, will be easier said than done, as neither the Patriots nor the Eagles are pushovers. In the past, each school has given the Mustangs trouble.
