Sachse’s volleyball team enjoyed another solid season.
Over the course of nearly four months, the Lady Mustangs battled their way to a 13-1 district record, tied for the 11-6A crown with Rockwall, defeated the Lady Jackets in a seeding game and advanced two rounds into the postseason before being knocked off by J.J. Pearce.
Their achievements didn’t go unnoticed by district coaches, who honored a number of Sachse players with inclusion to the 2015 All-District team.
Leading the way was senior Erin Richburg, who was named the 11-6A Most Valuable Player, while teammate, and fellow senior Casey Enna, was named the Setter of the Year. Their coach Rikki Jones was named the Coach of the Year.
Making the first team were juniors Delaney Price and Meaghan Jones and senior Kaitlyn Coffey, while second-team honors were handed out to seniors Skyler Friel and Bonny Abarca, as well as junior Jaeda Ransom. Sophomore Jada Carter and senior Cyera Hintzen earned honorable mention recognition.
