In a little less than three months, a big change will be in store for Wylie High School.
For on Feb. 1 the maroon and white will officially become a member of Class 6A; it’s the result of turning in an enrollment of 2,231, nearly 100 students above the cutoff point.
All class 6A schools will have an enrollment of 2,150 or above. Besides Wylie, that’ll include all three Plano ISD schools, as well as Sachse; Wylie East will remain in the Class 5A, which has a range of 1,100 to 2,149, after having a listed enrollment of 2,120.
