Jalen Mayden named Sophomore Offensive Player of the Year

When Jalen Mayden first took the field as Sachse’s quarterback, it was easy to see he was a sophomore learning how to adjust to the pressure of varsity play. However, adjust he did, and by season’s end the Mustang signal caller was one of the best players in District 11-6A as he led Sachse to a playoff appearance.
His progress did not go unnoticed by the district coaches, who named the underclassman the Offensive Sophomore of the Year.
Although Mayden was the lone Mustang to earn an individual accolade, there were other Sachse players who earned recognition for the gridiron performances.
