The Lady Mustangs improved to 12-0 in 11-6A, with two games remaining on the schedule, following a 52-42 victory Tuesday against Naaman Forest. The victory assured Sachse of at least a tie for the district. They can clinch sole possession with a victory this Friday at home over Lakeview Centennial (second at 10-2). After that, the playoff-bound Lady Mustangs closed out the regular season Tuesday, Feb. 9 at home against Rowlett.
Meanwhile, the Mustangs (6-4) moved into third place in the boys’ standings with a 63-52 win over Naaman Forest. After Tuesday’s action, the Mustangs trailed Rowlett (10-0) and Lakeview (7-3), and were a game ahead of Rockwall and Naaman (each at 5-5). Sachse can move into a tie for second by beating Lakeview this Friday.
