Sachse’s Lady Mustangs upended Rowlett 53-42 Tuesday, allowing them to finish the 11-6A season at 14-0, the first unbeaten district record in school history. They will now face the fourth-place team from District 12-6A in next week’s bi-district round.
The Mustangs also got their biggest win of the season, nipping district leader Rowlett 53-52 in overtime; that improved their district record to 7-5 with two games left in the season. They are now tied with Rockwall for third and fourth in the 11-6A standings. Rowlett is 11-1, while Lakeview Centennial is in second at 9-3.
