The Lady Mustangs underwent a pair of hard-fought contests last week, first beating Naaman Forest 52-42 on Feb. 2 and then rallying to upend Lakeview Centennial 41-35 before a home crowd last Friday night.
Those efforts were well worth it, though, not only because they produced two additional district victories, but also because those triumphs resulted in an 11-6A crown for Sachse.
It’s the team’s fourth in five seasons, and second undisputed one over that period; their last one was in 2012, when they went 13-1.
They shared the crown in 2014 and 2015; they didn’t win it in 2013 but did make the playoffs.
