The Sachse High School Knitting Club may not be large in size but their work will warm your heart.

The group, mentored by Social Studies Department Chair Terry Reddy, is open to students of all skill levels.

Reddy shared that one of her most knitting enthusiastic students is Spanish foreign exchange student, Lucia De Marcos Laguna, who is currently working on a scarf.

Evolving knitter Reddy said she loves to knit.

“Right now I am learning to knit socks,” she said. “We have an incredibly talented teacher who teaches members who are interested to crochet also.”

In addition to knitting scarves and socks, the group has, in the past, knit beanie hats on looms and anything else participants may want to try.
