The Lady Mustangs have faced their fair share of adversity in 2016, primarily in the area of health: three players have been lost for the season due to injury.
However, like a well-oiled machine, Sachse has replaced the lost parts and kept humming along, producing a 16-0-1 overall record, state and national rankings, as well as a 12-0 mark in District 11-6A. The latter has left them one district victory away from another title.
That could come this Tuesday, March 15 at Homer B. Johnson Stadium, where Sachse battles Lakeview Centennial. Based on its most recent performances, a 4-0 blanking of Rockwall on March 1 and a 9-0 whitewash of Naaman Forest last Friday, the odds are good the Lady Mustangs will do in Centennial. They’ll finish the regular season Friday, March 18 at Rowlett.
