Another softball regular season is in the books, and that means another playoff appearance for the Lady Mustangs.
In the past, that usually has meant “one-and-done” game or series for Sachse. It’s not something head coach Stefanie Faith and her 2016 team wants to repeat this time around.
This past week, Sachse fell 8-5 in extra innings on Friday to Rowlett followed that with a 22-0 win Saturday over Lakeview Centennial.
That final victory lifted Sachse to 9-5 in District 11-6A (10-16 overall) and earned them a date with Waco Midway this weekend in the bi-district round.
That one-game series was scheduled for Wednesday at Waco Midway.
However, if the game was rained out, it will be played today at the same site.
“I’ve got depth, and that’s what I like to see getting into the playoffs,” Faith said. “We do have depth. We are healthy, and we want it. We don’t want to be one and done.”
