It was perhaps the biggest surprise of Christy Elms’ 27 years of teaching.
Early last Thursday afternoon at Sewell Elementary, Elm watched as Deborah Cron, the interim Garland ISD superintendent, school principal Kim Marsh, along with Elms’ husband Todd and many others interrupted her fourth-grade class session.
