Historical collection displayed at museum

The Sachse Historical Society’s Sunday, March 3 annual meeting was also a celebration of the organization’s 35th year with notable presentations.

Sean Sachse, a fifth generation descendent of the city’s founder, J.K. Sachse, offered the public a view of selections from a historical collection for the first time. The items were handed down from his grandfather, Woodrow Wilson Sachse, who was J.K. Sachse’s grandson and went by W.W. or Woody. Sachse explained that family and close friends also called his grandfather “Happy Sachse” because of his disarming smile.
