The Sachse Mustangs orchestrated a 41-0 shutout of Garland High School in their first District 9-6A matchup of the year.
The Mustangs (2-1, 1-0 District 9-6A) got on the board with an 84-yard touchdown by Brendon Haygood late in the first quarter – his first of three scores.
The offense came out swinging in the third quarter with a pick-six by Aidan Sharp and didn’t let up. The team scored on every possession after that point. The team’s defense shut down the Owls, allowing only 65 total yards.
