Among all the projects in the $455.5 million Garland ISD bond package that was passed in 2014 by district voters, one of the most grandiose and elaborate was the proposed natatorium.
That project, which at the time of passage was anticipated to cost around $20 million is still something the Garland ISD wants to construct, albeit at a higher cost than anticipated. A natatorium is an indoor swimming facility.
